Online dating is always a risk, especially in the age of apps like Tinder and Bumble—you never know what you’re going to get into a date with. Once you’ve matched with a random person there’s no telling what the opening line will be and how to impress the person on the other end of the app. Personally, I like to start off with an adorable gif or just a boring ‘hey’, nothing too original, but when the other person starts the talk all bets are off.
