The Incredible Things Happen Across Space Every Time We Blink Our Eyes

Blinking comes naturally, but did you know that in the .25 seconds it takes to blink, 300 stars will explode, 15,000 stars born, 15 million rogue planets will create, 30 new black holes will happen.

And humans blink 650 million times over the course of a lifetime. That means 195 trillion stars will explode during those little moments when you blink.

How can all of this happen in such a short time period? Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity asserts that time is like a river, ebbing and flowing depending on the effects of gravity and space-time. Time speeds up and slows down around bodies with various masses and velocities. Therefore, one second on Earth is not the same length of time everywhere in the universe.
