After losing 200,000 subscribers, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced plans to execute an ad-supported subscription tier. As you can guess, the remaining subscribers are not happy with the news.
Netflix subscribers took to Twitter to air their anger with the idea of Netflix adding ads to the service. Some are threatening to cancel their subscription the second they see an ad on Netflix, and others are pointing out Netflix’s history of vowing to never have commercials on the service.
Netflix still has yet to reveal what an ad-supported tier would cost, but it seems that no one really really cares if Netflix adding commercials will make the price decrease as well.
